Herb'N Eden

What's in our soap?

What's in our soap?

I talk a bit about the ingredients in big brand soaps because it's important that you know many of them are doing more harm to your skin than good.

Now, I want to talk about what's in Herb 'N Eden's soaps: what makes our soap different from the big brands? If you're worried that natural ingredients won't work as well as the ingredients in commercial soaps, don't. I'll break down each ingredient in our hand-made soaps and explain all of their best for your skin.

Our standard soap base

Coconut oil: Reduces inflammation, keeps skin moisturized, and helps to heal wounds. The fatty acids found in coconut oil have antimicrobial properties that can help treat acne and protect the skin from harmful bacteria.

Palm oil: Restores hydration to dry skin. Suitable for use on sensitive skin and for treating eczema, psoriasis, and stretch marks. The antioxidant properties of palm oil boost immunity and delay the onset of wrinkles.

Shea butter: High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Using shea butter on your body, especially your face, can condition, tone, and soothe your skin.

Herbs and essential oils

Tea tree and turmeric: These together have super effective cleaning properties. Both are anti-inflammatory. This bar eliminates red spots, is an antiseptic, is antibacterial, and clears scarring, eczema, acne, and sunburn.

Lemongrass and patchouli: Lemongrass has astringent, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties that aid with acne breakouts. Patchouli makes a great partner alleviating acne conditions, eczema, dry and cracked skin. Lemongrass and Patchouli soap can also aid with scars and oily spots while retaining natural skin oils.

Neem and chlorella: These plant components are packed with nutrients like Vitamin A, C, magnesium, and zinc, that nourish the body and give it a natural glow. It's also anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and ideal for oily skin.

Rosemary and lavender: Calming, mentally stimulating, and anti-depressing scents. This soap is also anti-fungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and helps with acne.

Chamomille and calendula: Moisturizes dry and damaged skin, and helps to reduce inflammation on the skin from eczema, psoriasis, acne, etc.

South African lavender: Evens the skin's complexion, reduces acne, and improves eczema and psoriasis.

Rosewater, kefir, and lavender: The probiotics in the kefir make this an ideal yoni soap. It also detoxifies the skin with its restorative properties.

Clay soaps and other nutrient-dense ingredients

Cedarwood and Sea clay: Dead Sea Clay is packed with essential minerals like potassium, magnesium, sodium, bromine, and calcium—all of which help to naturally moisturize, cleanse, and strengthen your skin.

Coconut and kaolin clay: Kaolin clay is nourishing and ideal for sensitive and/or dry skin. It's detoxifying, anti-bacterial, and deep cleansing.

Grapefruit and Himilayan pink salt: The Himilayan salt is detoxifying and exfoliating. Bentonite Clay is added to enhance the detox properties, and the grapefruit oil is a deodorizer and mood enhancer.

Vanilla mint coffee: The peppermint essential oil in this soap is uplifting, refreshing, antiseptic, and clears the pores. Coffee is one of the best natural exfoliators, helping to remove unwanted smells from bacteria and cellulite.

4/20 Citrus hemp: This soap has hemp-infused olive oil, Moroccan red clay, and a citrus earthy essential oil blend. Hemp works wonders for the hair and the skin. Moroccan red clay removes impurities and is an excellent skin cleanser.

Oatmeal honey: Oatmeal is an emollient (skin softener), making it perfect for dry and sensitive skin. Interestingly oats contain saponins, which are a natural gentle cleanser. Oats are also naturally moisturizing, especially when paired with healing honey.  Honey is a humectant, which seals in moisture and hydrates the skin.

Activated charcoal: Peppermint essential oil is uplifting, refreshing, antiseptic, and clears the pores. Activated charcoal works to clear up scars from acne and removes impurities by detoxing the skin.

I have also been looking for information on your palm oil source. I love your soaps, but I’m looking for products made without it.

Good evening sorry for the errors and prior emails. I am looking for a soap to help with the dark spots on my face around my mouth also my skin tends to be very oily in the summer and very dry in the Winter. what do you suggest

I wanted to try your products until I saw palm oil listed as an ingredient. This lead to to ponder if your ingredients are obtained compassionately.

Palm trees must be destroyed to obtain palm oil. During the process, habitats, especially monkeys are displaced.

Please consider the sources for your products as related to all creatures.

Is there an alternative you can use instead of PALM OIL? Otherwise, you lost my potential business.
