You can make a really easy face mask with avocado, lemon juice, green clay, jojoba oil, & aloe. This mask is very moisturizing and will have your skin glowing. It’s like letting your facial skin eat guacamole, as it absorbs all of the yummy benefits.
Avocado is the good kind of fat, which is healthy & moisturizing for your skin. It’s super soft texture makes this mask easy to blend. Cut about 1/4 of the avocado if only making this mask for one person. Avocado should be used fresh.
Lemon juice cleanses the skin of any unwanted bacteria. It helps to even complexion and give your skin a glow. Lemon is also astringent, so it helps to tighten pores. Squeeze about 1/4 teaspoon of lemon.
Green clay is the detoxing element in this mask as it draws out impurities and brings fresh blood to the skin. Clay is organic material that comes from the Earth, so it is full of beneficial minerals such as magnesium, copper, & zinc. Add 1 tsp of green clay, I used Sea Clay, Chlorella & Spirulina work as well.
Jojoba oil is one of the best plant oils Mother Nature offers. It’s actually characterized as a plant wax, & very similar to the sebum (oils) our bodies produce. Naturally it blends well with most skin types, including acne prone. Jojoba actually clears pores rather than clogging them! Olive oil or any other light plant oil you prefer is a good substitute, pour in 1/2 tsp.
Aloe Vera is a must have for the majority of face masks. I actually prefer it rather than water. It has numerous benefits. The most noticeable is the cooling effect it has on the skin. Both the gel and juice don’t clog pores and they are moisturizing. Finish it off with 1 Tbsp of aloe vera gel and mash it all together until it’s a fine paste consistency.
This is a perfect spa day or easy self care moment mask. All skin types from dry to sensitive can benefit from this mask. These ingredients are powerful! You will more than likely feel a tingling sensation, Relax, wonders are being worked. Enjoy the refreshing and hydrated feeling of your face at the end!
