Put The Dove Down!

Everybody's favorite soap is Dove. It's like the "people's soap". Everyone is using it! I understand because I once was devoted to Dove,  the shape of the bar declares that it's a bar of soap. They have the outside look perfected, but if you care to inquire about the inside, it might not be as perfect.

Dove soap is loaded with synthetic lab made ingredients, which have names that hurt my head even trying to pronounce. The ingredients are as follows: Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate , Stearic Acid , Sodium Tallowate or Sodium Palmitate , Lauric Acid , Sodium Isethionate , Water , Sodium Stearate , Cocamidopropyl Betaine or Sodium C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate , Sodium Cocoate or Sodium Palm Kernelate , Sodium Chloride , Tetrasodium EDTA , Tetrasodium Etidronate , Maltol ,  and Titanium Dioxide.

I challenge that if you know the benefits or even know what half of those ingredients are, continue to use the product. If you are picking up, what I'm putting down, start using handmade soaps or soaps with fewer ingredients, trust me you can do it.  You can find a few soaps for super cheap, but typically handmade soap is self explanatory. Not only is it just handmade, they are typically made with quality ingredient, that you can pronounce, and remember. I don't feel the need to go through each ingredient, but just understand that they are not beneficial to your skin. Most of them actually dry your skin out.

Of course Dove isn't the only "soap" using so many chemicals, ALL of the commercial soaps like Lever 3000 & Irish Springs are following suit.

In this age of enlightenment, there is no reason to continue to be blissfully ignorant about what you apply to your body. we have to be more mindful of our temples, we owe it to ourselves. Cancer and many other life-threatening diseases are on the rise, so it's vital that we take into consideration what can be contributing to that. Soap is a simple essential that we often take for granted. We may not recognize that our skin is our first line of defense when it comes to fighting of viruses and bacteria.

Soap should be what we expect it to be, moisturizing and beneficial. Most handmade soaps including ours uses coconut, palm, & olive oil, sodium hydroxide, essential oils, & other HERBAL additives. Let's face it, chemicals are apart of our everyday world, some being more harmful than others, but applying a whole lot of them whether internal or external is UN-natural.

No matter what, your body is a natural living being and it deserves to use the finest & quality ingredients. Commercial soap companies are just trying to capitalize on our health by using the cheapest ingredients, in order to sell them at prices we love. But for so many of us, who feel we have sensitive skin, these chemicals are what contributes to your skin problems. In all actuality we all have sensitive skin, our skin is our body's largest organ! Just like your stomach, liver, & kidneys, our skin is an organ that needs extra care.

Dove does not promote "skincare", soaps with beneficial oils & herbs do. It isn't really even soap, it's a "cream bar", as stated on the packaging! Do yourself a favor and care for your skin by supporting handmade soaps, which seek to benefit you directly, not just your pockets.
