Yuzu and Vetiver - NEW Limited Edition Collection

Yuzu & Vetiver Body Wash and Bar Soap sit in a green-tiled shower niche

Yuzu & Vetiver: The Story Behind Our Newest Collection

There's a specific stretch of the year that doesn't quite have a name. It's not summer anymore, not really — but it's not fall yet either. The days are still warm, but there's a little more gold in the light, and the evenings start arriving earlier than you expect.

That's the moment we built our newest collection around. Meet Yuzu & Vetiver — a new Bar Soap and Body Wash featuring two herbal ingredients that have never been part of the Herb'N Eden lineup before.

Meet Yuzu

Yuzu is a citrus fruit that's been a staple in East Asian cooking and fragrance for centuries, though it's less familiar to a lot of people than lemon, lime, or orange. Visually and aromatically, it sits somewhere in between a mandarin, a grapefruit, and a lime — but its fragrance is brighter and more layered than any one of those on its own. There's a sharpness to it, but also a floral quality underneath, which is part of what makes it stand out in a fragrance blend rather than reading as "just another citrus."

In our new collection, yuzu peel oil is the opening note — the first thing you notice, bright and sun-warmed, like the last good stretch of warm weather before things start to shift. We paired it with bergamot peel oil to round out that citrus top layer and give it a little more lift.

Meet Vetiver

Vetiver comes from a completely different place, both botanically and aromatically. It's a grass, and the fragrance comes from its roots rather than its leaves or flowers — which is part of why vetiver root oil smells the way it does: earthy, warm, and a little smoky, with none of the brightness or sharpness of a citrus or floral note.

Vetiver is often described as a "grounding" scent, and that's exactly the role it plays in this collection. If yuzu is the last warm afternoon of summer, vetiver is the cooler evening that follows it — the note that settles in after the citrus fades, giving the whole fragrance more depth and staying power.

Together, yuzu and vetiver aren't just two pleasant scents we liked — they're a deliberate before-and-after. Bright, then grounded. Warm, then settled. Summer, then fall.

What We Made With Them

Yuzu & Vetiver Bar Soap

Our new Bar Soap is handcrafted in small batches with saponified coconut and palm oils, finished with shea butter for a soft, conditioning lather. Yuzu, bergamot, and vetiver root oils carry the fragrance from first lather to last rinse — bright at first, then softening into something warmer.

Ingredients: Saponified Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil and Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Aqua (Water), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Citrus Junos (Yuzu) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides (Vetiver) Root Oil

Yuzu & Vetiver Body Wash

Our new Body Wash carries the same scent story into a rich, gentle lather. It's formulated with castor oil, extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, and coconut oil, along with aloe vera gel, so it cleanses without leaving skin feeling stripped or tight.

Ingredients: Castor Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Potassium Hydroxide, Citrus Junos (Yuzu) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides (Vetiver) Root Oil
