Our natural soaps explained [VIDEO]

What is natural soap?

Natural soap is all about what is or isn't in the ingredients. For us, natural means no chemical fragrances, artificial colors, or other harsh ingredients that can irritate the skin. Instead, we use only essential oils and ingredients made from the Earth.

Why is natural soap better?

Natural soap is better because the chemicals and ingredients that make commercial soaps smell fragrant and look colorful are harsh on the skin. Soap should be made with healthy skin in mind, not dollar signs. All of our soaps are made with coconut oil, shea butter, and palm oil plus essential oils and herbs. That's it!

Which natural soap should I use?

Knowing what type of soap or any skin care product you use starts with knowing your skin type. Then you can build the regimen that works best for you. You can use our soaps all over your body, including your hair.

Using lavender for the skin

Lavender is commonly known for it's calming properties as a scent. It also works to calm and soothe acne and inflammation of the skin when applied topically. Here's a breakdown of our lavender soaps:

Rosewater kefir and Lavender

Aside from lavender, this soap is made with a locally-sourced kefir that is used for fermented drinks. Kefir is a probiotic, which means it has added anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. We call this the yoni soaps because the probiotic fights yeast infections.

Other ingredients: rose geranium oil, lavender oil, lemon and bergamot.

Rosemary and Lavender

Rosemary oil has anti-viral and antibacterial properties, which makes it an effective treatment for acne-causing germs anywhere on the body.

South African Lavender

This one is simply lavender, but ideal for use at night to relieve stress and encourage restful sleep.

Unscented soap

Sensitive skin types may have an undesired reaction to essential oils. Or, sometimes you want to smell fresh, but not flowery. Unscented natural soap is the answer for both.

Oatmeal and honey

Between the exfoliation properties of oatmeal and the anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties of honey, this soap is basically skin food. This soap is good for all skin types, especially sensitive skin and dry skin. Also ideal for babies and children.

Everything bar

The lather on this one us unmatched, and it has all of the nourishing properties of each soap combined into one.

Chamomile and calendula

Made with our Chamomile & Calendula infused sunflower oil, this soap helps to reduce inflammation from dry, damaged skin. This soap can be used to treat eczema, psoriasis, and acne. It's also gentle enough for newborn babies.

Coconut and kaolin clay

This one is super moisturizing because coconut oil is the main base. The kaolin clay is a powerful detoxifier that leaves skin feeling refreshed and clean.

Peppermint oil for skin

Peppermint has a cooling effect that helps with inflammation caused by acne and other irritations. Peppermint also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties that cleanse the pores and prevent acne-causing build ups.

Vanilla mint coffee

Coffee is one of the best natural exfoliators, helping to remove unwanted smells from bacteria and reduce cellulite. This bar is good for normal, oily, and combination skin types and can be used on your face and body.

Activated charcoal

Activated charcoal works to clear up scars from acne & removes impurities by detoxing the skin. We pair it with peppermint for a refreshing cleanse that almost tingles. Use this soap for normal, oily, and combination skin types.

Everyone's favorites

Here are our top-rated and most popular soaps:

Tea tree and turmeric soap

These ingredients together are powerful against hyperpigmentation and red spots. This bar helps to clear up scarring, eczema, acne, rosacea, and sunburn.

Neem and chlorella

This is one of our most popular scents because it smells so clean and really lights up your bathroom. It's a purifying, anti-fungal soap packed with nutrients like Vitamins A, C, magnesium, and zinc. Neem has traditionally been used to treat hair and skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

Cedarwood and sea clay

A favorite among the men--this one was hand-created by our co-founder and CEO Quinton Lewis as something more masculine. This bar is infused with sea clay and activated charcoal, so it’s packed with minerals and detoxes the skin during shower time. Dead Sea Clay is packed with essential minerals like potassium, magnesium, sodium, bromine, and calcium. All of which help to naturally moisturize, cleanse, and strengthen your skin.

Citrus soaps

Grapefruit and Himalayan pink salt

Grapefruit essential oil is a natural mood enhancer, which makes this soap a great way to start your day. We also added Bentonite clay, which is a skin detoxifier. Himalayan salt is a skin purifier, so this soap is a deep-cleanser that puts you in a good mood.

Lemongrass and patchouli

This scent could also go under the favorites section because it sells out often. Lemongrass has astringent, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties that aid with acne breakouts. Patchouli makes a great partner alleviating acne conditions, eczema, dry and cracked skin. Lemongrass and Patchouli soap can also aid with scars and oily spots while retaining natural skin oils.

4/20 Citrus hemp soap

We like to call this the 4/20 special! It’s an exclusive bar that consists of hemp infused olive oil, Moroccan red clay, and a citrus earthy essential oil blend. Hemp works wonders for the hair and the skin. Moroccan red clay removes impurities and is an excellent skin cleanser.

The essential oil blend consists of lemongrass, cedarwood, rosemary, orange and patchouli. The aroma of these oils is grounding and helps to center the mind, body, and soul.
